“lie as a bug” explores the relationships between the perceiver, the creation, and the maker, while also addressing the artist's complex struggles with their physical body. Through this piece the artist invites the viewer to intimately observe their struggle, creating a vulnerable and thought-provoking experience that encourages reflection while literally ‘looking down on’ the documented figure of the artist’s body. “lie as a bug” explores themes of gender dysphoria and disability.
